Who We Are
The Flourishing Work Alliance (FW Alliance) is a forerunner in the movement for flourishing at work. Building on the synergistic capacities of the individual members in the FW Alliance, together we have greater impact and reach than as individual actors.

Flourishing Work Alliance Founder
Eleanor Allen, P.E., NAE, is the Founder and Chief Curator of Flourishing Experiences at the Flourishing Work Alliance. She is widely recognized for transforming workplaces and cultivating high-performing, human-centered cultures through innovation grounded in science. Her work equips leaders and organizations with practical tools that empower people while driving sustainable performance.
A seasoned CEO, board member, executive coach, engineer, and global citizen, Eleanor’s career spans Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and startups across more than 50 countries. She was recently named one of NBC’s Top Women Global Thought Leaders. In addition to the Flourishing Work Alliance, Eleanor founded Catapult For Change, an executive coaching venture supporting leaders through periods of growth and transformation.
Previously, Eleanor served as CEO of B Lab Global and Water For People and held senior leadership roles at Arcadis and Jacobs (formerly CH2M). She is a registered Professional Engineer, a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and serves on multiple corporate and nonprofit boards.
Eleanor is deeply passionate about clean water innovation, responsible business, gender equity, and women’s cycling. Through her work, she is committed to redefining the future of work and inspiring lasting, positive change in organizations and society.

Our Relationship to the World Flourishing Organization
The Flourishing Work Alliance is a sister organization to the World Flourishing Organization (WFO). We have the same desires: to translate research and practice into tools, collaboration, and action across workplaces worldwide. We support each other’s work.
Three global leaders (Gordon Watson, Karen Seymour and Eleanor Allen) started the workplace flourishing movement together as co-founders of the World Flourishing Organization in 2024. We divided our efforts in January 2026. Now Karen is leading the movement in the name of the WFO from Hong Kong, and Eleanor is leading the movement in the name of the Flourishing Work Alliance from the USA. Gordon continues to provide advisory support to both companies.
